Have you correctly defined your professional profile in your CV?

Post by sakib36 »

In other blog posts we have talked about what our CV should be like in terms of structure, basic information it should contain, etc. For this occasion, Marta Ortega , consultant for the Adecco Foundation, offers us a series of tips to optimize our CV and thus generate a greater impact on the HR technician who is going to manage our application for a job offer.

What is the objective? To correctly define your professional profile

We must be clear that the CV is not something intact. It is your malaysia mobile phone number data first impression before the company and for this reason we must adapt our CV based on the type of company and the job offer. Regarding the disability certificate, as we have already mentioned on other occasions, at the Adecco Foundation we recommend NOT indicating that we have a disability certificate on the CV. We will only do so in those cases where such certification is required.
Develop and break down our work experience : we must specify the functions of the position very well, after all, performance in specific tasks is what opens the door for us to verify that we can perform the job.
Analyze the offer: Depending on what the offer we are applying for requires, we will have to develop and highlight some functions of a position more and others less.

The company is not a fortune teller . If you have performed certain duties, but in your CV you write: “the typical duties of the position” , you will never be selected. You must describe them even if they are repetitive in different work experiences. The company will not interpret what you mean by these “typical” duties, and therefore you will be discarded.
What makes you unique from the rest? We have to highlight something that is different from the rest of the CV, for example: forklift driver's license, chambermaid course, knowledge of SAP program, years abroad to practice the language, volunteer work, projects or collaborations in which you have been involved.
