Facebook has removed the group chat
On August 22nd, Facebook removed the group chat , which was introduced just under a year ago. Facebook says the reason for this is that the group chat function can no longer be supported by the Facebook app in this form. However, the spam potential of the group chat function could also be at least partly responsible, since you can also send mass messages to non-friends in the group.
The group chat function with friends in Messenger is not affected by the change.

Facebook said it is working on a new feature for direct communication in groups. In the meantime, marketers will have to rely on discussions in comments if they want to address their group members directly.
