3 brands with impactful corporate storytelling

Post by mottalib2026 »

Step one: let's look for inspiration! And what better way to inspire you on the art of storytelling than with famous brands ?

5,000 years ago, hieroglyphs on the Egyptian pyramids already told stories and rituals.

But we did not wait for the invention of writing to leave our mark: in prehistoric times, men wrote on cave walls using sticks and mud (among other things).

Not much has changed since then (almost), especially on the “storytelling” part. By our human nature, we are made to tell and hear stories. It is also what makes us human (read Sapiens, a brief history philippines whatsapp of humanity if you are not convinced). We have never seen dogs, pigeons or whales tell each other stories and create myths!

Without stories , we lose a part of our humanity. Do you want to turn into a machine?

Not me…

In the digital age, we have never been so connected… and disconnected at the same time. Disconnected from real life. From human emotions, from contact.

We forget names and faces. We forget what we learned at school. But a good story? We never forget it.

And some brands have understood this well. Corporate storytelling is essential.

I could have told you about Apple or Coca-Cola but that's too easy. You've probably found these examples hundreds of times on the web.

No, I chose other companies to inspire you with good storytelling that can capture the attention of an audience and keep them loyal on social networks!

Inspiration: Where does the success of Humans of New York come from?
If you still don't believe in the importance of stories in our daily lives and on social media to attract prospects, how do you explain the success of Humans of New York ?

It all started in 2010, when Brandon Stanton arrived in New York. At that time, he was just another amateur photographer.

Brandon is fascinated by the crowd and the individual characters within it.

He then began taking pictures of portraits of people he met on the street. His photos were posted on his Facebook page.

Banal, you might say.

But what makes the photos truly powerful are the texts and narration that accompany them.

Brandon asks each person photographed to tell him part of their story, an anecdote or their mood of the day .

Joy of living, suffering, anger, difficult experiences, the entire emotional palette is present through these portraits of humans encountered in the street.

Today, Brandon Stanton has published three books and his Facebook page has a following of nearly 18 million people.

A series is emerging from this project. Each episode of around twenty minutes offers portraits of different people .

Why do you think that?

People love to read stories , especially when they are true stories , with unvarnished emotions.
