What is a long tail?
Users direct various queries to the Google search engine. If we were to divide them by topic, we would probably create dozens of categories. However, due to their length and, consequently, their detail, we can distinguish three basic types of keywords:

General words (fat head), i.e. short queries containing 1 or 2 words – e.g. “toys” or “cars”. These are the most frequently searched types of queries, generating 18-19% of search engine traffic. It is for positions for these types of phrases that most companies strive, which means that it requires many years of consistent actions.
Chunky middle words are more specific phrases that typically contain 3 words and account for 11-12% of Google traffic – e.g. “running shoes” or “gaming laptop”.
Long tail words, or extended, detailed phrases that consist of at least 3-4 words. These are queries like "women's nike running shoes" or "gaming laptop up to PLN 3,000".
