Trade liberalization and tariff elimination items among RCEP member countries

The areas covered by the RCEP Agreement are wide-ranging, including trade in goods, rules of origin, customs procedures and trade facilitation, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, voluntary standards, trade remedies, trade in services, temporary movement of natural persons, investment, intellectual property, and electronic commerce.
Here, we will look at the main item, trade in goods, namely "items for which tariffs will be eliminated."

Many of the Japanese products for which export tariffs to member countries will be eliminated are industrial products, with tariffs on about 92% being eliminated cyprus whatsapp data across the 14 countries.
These include motors for electric vehicles, storage batteries, and engine parts for gasoline-powered vehicles.
Tariffs will also be eliminated on other products, such as steel products, home appliances, chemical fibers, and textile products.

It is not just exports that will see the elimination of tariffs on some Japanese imports.
In terms of food, tariffs will be eliminated on super-frozen chicken products, frozen vegetables, frozen edamame beans, octopus, Chinese Shaoxing wine, and Korean makgeolli.
In addition, tariffs on chemical industry products and textile products will be eliminated immediately or gradually.
As for import items, Japan's five major items (rice, wheat, beef and pork, dairy products, and sweet resource crops) are excluded from the tariff reduction or elimination.
