The Bullet Journal has revolutionized my organization

Post by simarahman5835 »

For a few years now, we've been hearing about the Bullet Journal everywhere. Especially on the blogosphere. This little blank notebook was all the rage as soon as it came out. And as with every time something is overexposed, I was wary. I didn't see the point. Until I bought mine. For 3 months, my Bullet Journal has changed the way I organize myself. I was looking for an ideal tool without finding it. Maybe the BuJo (its little name) is the answer to my question!

I didn't want to give in to the Bullet Journal trend
The Bullet Journal was invented by a New York designer Ryder Caroll. In concrete terms, it is a fully customizable notebook / diary / organizer . The pages only have small dots, bullet points in English. Then, it is up to us to create our pages, according to our needs and desires.

On the concept, I admit, I could have cracked much sooner. But as I was telling you, Bullet Journals were everywhere on the web. And all the photos I saw showed magnificent pages, with splendid typography and superb drawings. Needless to say, I didn't feel capable of having a BuJo that beautiful. So that held me back. I imagined girls spending hours on a page, just for the layout. In my very busy schedule, how could I find the time to take care of a Bullet Journal?

And then, by dint of seeing it everywhere, it disgusted me. Yes, I have a bit of a contradictory mind. As soon as something is too praised, I close myself off. I waited years before watching Breaking Bad for example. No, clearly it wasn't for me. At least, that's what I thought. Three months ago, I changed my mind. Radically.

Only fools never change their minds.
Since December, I've been working two days a israel whatsapp number data week in a great co-working space, Atelier Viking . At the beginning of the year, my friend Pauline wanted to buy a new diary. I thought it wouldn't hurt me to have one too. Because having a diary synchronized on the computer and phone is great, but my eyes need to see something other than a screen. That's when our friend Hélène pulled out her Bullet Journal . In ten minutes, she sold us the little notebook and we all went looking for the famous BuJo . Yes, even me.

The advantage of the Bullet Journal is that you can do whatever you want with it! There are no rules, no obligations. It adapts entirely to your needs since you create everything from A to Z. It's a bit unsettling at first. What am I going to be able to do? What do I need? When I bought my BuJo, I decided that I would only use it for work . I don't want to put a tracker in it to know if I've eaten enough fruit (vegetables are good, I'm at least at 5 a day ;)) , smoked less or slept better. I don't feel the need. For the moment anyway. Who knows, in 6 months, I might have added a "number of hours of sleep" page.

This is my only rule. My use of the Bullet Journal is linked to my business .
