Social commerce will gain momentum”

Post by sakib60 »

Let's face it: selling, or so-called selling directly on social media, is unlikely to generate initial brand awareness or recognition, and the final conversion and sale typically happen outside the platform.

But let's take it step by step. I remember that in special lead 2011, the study "The Effect of Social Networks and the Mobile Web on Website Traffic and the Inevitable Rise of Facebook" conducted by Webtrends and Adgregates Markets stated that at that time, social commerce (i.e., sales made through social networks) moved €5 billion worldwide, and that by 2015 it would reach €30 billion. The development of social networks gave rise to the rise of a new marketing model: f-commerce , or sales through online stores that brands began to install on their Facebook pages.

At that time, numerous applications and companies began to emerge that offered to open your virtual storefront directly on Facebook: in Spain, Facetoria Social Shop, Social Buy, Herzio, Palbin, and Social Media Shop emerged, among others, while internationally, Payvment, Carttini, VendingBox, Infused Commerce, and Beetailer appeared.

As a result of this "boost" in social commerce, brands began creating Facebook stores: from Telepizza to opticians like Centrovision, pet food businesses like Pienso Barato, and music groups like Love of Lesbian, who sold their band's merchandise on Facebook through Herzio's app.
