Notice to budding bloggers

Post by sakib60 »

Let's take it one step at a time: this isn't a post about "The 10 Keys to Blog Success" or a "Guide to Launching and Succeeding with Your Blog in a Week."

It isn't, because I believe that the success of a blog shouldn't be "standardized ," but rather depends on multiple factors, circumstances, and, above all, the goals each person has set for themselves and their concept of "success."

It isn't, either, because I doubt that a triumph can be achieved in just one week, unless the triumph comes down to creating an attractive headline ( clickbaiting is increasingly bothering me).

And it isn't, above all, because it would be very presumptuous of me to try to lay down my authority on it.

So, what do I want to talk to you about?

This post is a systematic reflection on the c level executive list process of creating and managing a blog , based on my experience after six years writing "Speaking Short." In case it can be helpful and guiding, or help you organize your own thoughts, before starting your blog.

But before we begin, let me warn you about a few “little details” about blogging:

1. Creating and maintaining a blog requires time and dedication. I've seen blogs die within a year of starting, some even with just one published article. And that's a shame. I'm not saying you should dedicate time to the blog that you don't have (you know better than anyone what goal you've set for yourself), or that you should spend hours on it willy-nilly (strategy is key). But you should consider that managing a blog requires a minimum of time, consistency, and perseverance.
