5 Tips to Attract More Customers to Your Website

2. Optimize your site for search engines
Have you ever noticed that when you search for something on the Internet – on search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing, etc. – you almost always click on the first results because they “match” what you were searching for? Well, there are several techniques behind the websites that appear on the first page .

And the discipline where these techniques are used is called search engine optimization (SEO), which consists of improving the internal and external aspects of your site so that search engines can rank it based on its content and then have it appear in relevant search results.

For example, if you want your website to appear in the top results of Google when someone searches for “designer chairs,” then you will have to take some actions – such as editing the HTML code and writing text that includes that specific phrase – so that the search engine identifies that your site specializes in designer chairs.

3. Go ahead and publish content!
You may or may not have heard about the effectiveness of content. The important thing is that you know that content on your own website, blog or even on your social media can help you attract people.

Consider that we live in a connected world, where we can easily access information and we value those who facilitate our search. If you decide to dedicate part of your effort to creating content to resolve doubts and provide solutions to the problems that your prospects or clients experience , we are sure that many will value your work and your business will benefit.

But where do you start? You can begin by jotting down ideas about all the topics your business covers. For example, if you sell chairs, people will probably ask themselves: where can I buy chairs? How much does a chair cost and what does its price depend on? What are the best materials for homes/offices/outdoor spaces? What characteristics do the most comfortable chairs have? etc.

You might then decide which format is best for displaying that information, i.e. whether a specific topic would be better served by a blog post, an image with text, a video, a podcast, or another format. For example, for the topics we mentioned above, the title “How much does a chair cost and what does its price depend on?” could be a blog post with a price comparison table, but perhaps the topic “Features of the most comfortable chairs” could be an infographic.

Note: There is no magic formula. Rather, it all depends on your business, the communication you need to manage for your audience, and the way information appears best on the Internet.

Once you have a clearer idea of ​​what topics you can develop and how to approach them, you will only need to create a calendar where you decide what you will publish on your site, your blog or your social networks in the weeks, months or years to come.
