You? Your? Which register to use?
In Spanish there are three types of register that you can use when writing an email: formal, semi-formal and informal.
The formal record:
You use it when you talk to people you don't know, your bosses or someone you address formally.
In some countries you can have a semi-formal check-in with your colleagues, classmates or even teachers.
In this case you use the formal formulas but with the verbs conjugated in tú (watch the video to see some examples).
Be careful though, especially if you're writing an email to someone in Latin America. My recommendation is to address people as "usted" until they tell you to address them as "tu".

The informal register:
You use it with friends and family. It is the simplest of all and you always use “tú”.
