PepsiCo has chosen Barcelona to set up a global digital hub that will require an investment of 70 million euros. The American multinational food and beverage company has decided to open this operations centre in the outskirts of the city, where it will create around 400 jobs within three years, until 2024.

The multinational, led by Barcelona executive Ramón Laguarta , is thus committed to accelerating digitalisation, technological centres and attracting global talent. It should be noted that PepsiCo is immersed in its journey to advance automation and the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the city of Barcelona. To this end, it partnered with Tech Barcelona at the end of 2020 , in order to improve the consumer experience with more agile processes. To diversify talent, part of the team will be located in the Basque Country.
