In over ten years of working on AdWords, I have always wondered if there was a quick and objective way to measure the level of optimization of an account.

The answer was not easy to find, but in the end I came up with a very simple, yet powerful and extremely versatile method (perhaps because its 3 basic pillars are as simple as they are incontrovertible), which I was able to test on very different Google AdWords accounts and which I then refined over the last two years.

This procedure works regardless of the budgets spent and the structure of the campaigns . The only requirement is that the conversion actions on the landing site are tracked.

Better if, in addition to the classic ones, such as online sales for an e-commerce or leads (contact requests) for an information site, "behavioral" conversions are also tracked, that is, those linked to the user's browsing method .

In particular, obviously, those that denote paraguay phone number a strong interest in the site's contents, such as:

Session duration or number of pages viewed much higher than average,
Downloading files or PDFs,
Clicks on email or phone links,
Views of videos embedded in pages,
Subscribing to newsletters or registering in reserved areas,
Searching for physical stores in a store locator,
Etc.
By the way, tracking these types of goals has recently become much easier, as Google fully automated it in December via Analytics ' Smart Goals , which I've actually been using for years, without even realizing they were all that smart ;-)

I have summarized the logic of this method, which allows you to optimize your Google AdWords account, in an infographic , which also reports a series of targeted suggestions for improving each of the three Key Performance Indicators that form the basis of the procedure.
