"The Philistine giant Goliath is the strongest warrior in the world, while young David is a clear outsider who has no chance of defeating such a strong and skilled warrior. But thanks to trust in God, a few pebbles, and perhaps even a small miracle, he defeated Goliath. (...) But there is another interpretation of this story. Malcolm Gladwell opened a new perspective on this story for me with his book David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits, and the Art of Battling Giants ."

According to Gladwell, Goliath was indeed a giant who moved very clumsily. In addition, he wore armor that weighed almost 40 kilograms. The shepherd David was small in stature, but he knew how to use a slingshot and was able to approach large beasts unnoticed and attack them from a distance. "The biblical account tells us that God showed list of tuvalu consumer email his favor to the inexperienced David and helped him defeat the heavy favorite Goliath. (...) His help consisted in inspiring David with a better strategy . The fight was over before it even began. David won because he fought differently than Goliath. If he had approached close combat, as was the custom at the time, he would have lost."

“This happens to almost every entrepreneur or small business that wants to come up with something that will make them successful. But small companies don’t have the resources compared to their larger competitors. That means they have to play it completely differently .” Source: Joe Pulizzi, Content Inc. , 2nd ed., McGraw-Hill Education, 2021, pp. xii-xiii.
