Switching the operating mode is not so easy to find in the menu

Settings
As always, when you first turn it on, the system prompts you to set an administrator password and perform a few basic settings — set the time zone, name and password for wireless networks (in the lower and upper bands), and connection parameters to the provider.

The AX1800 supports two modes: router (with internal IP address distribution via DHCP) and access point. In the latter case, the device simply converts the wired network to wireless, while the distribution of internal IP thailand number data addresses to endpoints is performed by another router. It should be noted that finding the mode for switching from router to access point and back in the menu is not so easy: for some reason it was placed in the System/Operational mode section, although ideally such key settings should be somewhere in the main menu items that are easy to find.

n the wireless access point settings, the device offers to specify the names and passwords of the main and guest networks. For the main network, you can set the Smart Connect mode, then the wireless network in both bands has one common name, and the end device automatically switches from one band to another depending on the distance to the access point and the signal strength.

Having separate settings for the guest network allows you to increase the level of protection for the main network

The router allows you to restrict access to the web interface to certain client devices, provides remote management via the Internet, password recovery via email, forced reboot and scheduled reboot. You can also disable the LED indicators if desired.
