Google is often associated with Big Brother, much like George Orwell's science fiction novel 1984. This spy storyline has been adapted numerous times, whether in popular literature such as Aldous Huxley's Brave New World , in cinema with films such as Equilibrium , and even in television shows.

The omniscience and omnipresence of artificial intelligence still occupy the minds of many web users who consider Google, Facebook and Apple as the new predators of the Internet. Are individual freedoms really threatened when we entrust our personal data to these companies? Should we really be wary of Google? What does the American giant really know?

Google = Big Brother
Google is watching you
This is the first question that comes to mind when we think about Google, its omnipotence, and its ability to record billions of pieces of information about hundreds of millions of users. Given the number of australia phone number data services offered, we know for sure that the data collected affects all spheres of an individual's life.

But since 2016, the company has decided to focus on transparency by providing its users with the Google My Activity service , which offers the opportunity to view a certain amount of data collected.

It is by connecting to the website and browsing the "Other Google activity" tab that we can see the extent of the data stored. We obviously find the history of activity on the search engine, but also that on services like YouTube , or its last recorded positions. Your routes are therefore also known to the firm.
