Update WordPress to the latest version

After checking the PHP version, you can also see which version of WordPress you are using.

If it's an older version and you're using the latest version of PHP, consider updating WordPress to resolve the PHP missing MySQL extension error.

An easy way to check the WordPress version is to go to Dashboard » Updates » from the WordPress admin panel. There you will find the information "Current version".

3. Make sure MySQL add-ins are installed.
Now that you have updated the PHP and WordPress version on your website and you are still facing the “PHP missing MySQL extension” error, you need to check if the MySQL extension is correctly installed on your site.

You can do this by going to the Tools » Site Health page from the WordPress dashboard. Then, you need to switch to the “Info” tab.
