The story begins with Aristotle and his discovery of “basic colors” where he explained that colors are related to water, sky, earth and fire. After some time, Leonardo Da Vinci, based on Aristotle’s definition, classified them into yellow, blue, green and red and added white as the receptor of all colors and black as the absence of them.

In the 18th century, Isaac Newton demonstrated that white light is formed by a band of colors and that it can be separated by means of a prism and not as it was said that the prism produced these colors.
