In 2023, approximately 90% of Spanish companies were affected by some type of cyber threat, and these figures are influenced by factors such as the current geopolitical situation and the use of generative artificial intelligence.

These two factors have become the biggest switzerland business fax list challenges for cybersecurity in 2024. Among other things, cybercriminals use generative AI to carry out identity theft or to create highly sophisticated malware capable of bypassing the defenses of existing security systems.

Generative AI is already being used to deceive in a variety of situations, from creating video interactions to writing emails perfectly tailored to users’ language and writing style. These attacks will therefore become more sophisticated and difficult to detect, and may even outperform traditional methods such as phishing or CEO fraud.

One thing we must bear in mind when faced with the increase in these cyberattacks is that, beyond the numerical increase, the most worrying thing is their evolution. We are no longer talking about attacks that come from abroad and are launched in an arbitrary and uncritical manner, but rather they are highly localized, with a deep knowledge of the business policies and internal operations of the organizations being attacked.
